Donna Wood

sculpture
onna Wood started sculpting in her childhood, inspired by the scale and grandiose of nature.
She blends influence from her experience in martial arts,
the Feldenkrais Method, dance, and music to create
figures that portray a fluidity and openness that mimics
the ease with which a dancer glides through space.
Her sculptures combine abstraction with the figurative in human form, in a variety of imaginative and flexible arrangements.
Expressing herself in bronze and clay is how she makes sense of her life and the world around her.
